Ever since I can remember, I’ve been sewing. You name it, I’ve tried it – patchwork, cross stitch, appliqué, dress-making, quilting, needlepoint – I love it all. However, since giving up full time teaching, I’ve been able to indulge in one of my favourites – smocking! I am now in a position to offer a selection of dresses which are made to order in a selection of finest quality materials.
I pride myself on making individual dresses and do not buy large quantities of fabric. I am always happy to discuss your requirements and send samples of material ranging from stripes and checks to pretty prints and plains. The dress you order will be unique to you and your little girl.
So many people have welcomed this feminine style of children’s clothing. Grandmas have fond memories of their own smocked dresses, modern mothers like to buy something that is a little different and yet easy to launder and little girls love them.
All garments are hand finished with French seams, generous hems and hand smocked in toning silks. I use fine quality American cottons for dresses and cotton lawn or silk for Christening Gowns.
Because all garments are made to order, please allow 4 weeks when ordering.
